CALL TO WORSHIP

O God, we praise You for this day. We worship and adore You. We pray today for ears to listen and hearts to fully experience Your love and grace. We thank You for Your presence. May You receive all glory and honour. Amen.

Come into our hearts today, O Lord, as we consider again who You are, what You mean to us, and how we will respond to Your call to follow You and no other.

HYMN:       105       “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing

RESPONSIVE READING – (Psalm 92:1-5, 108:1-5)

It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, O most high,

to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night,

to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.

For You make me glad by Your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

How great are Your works, O Lord, how profound Your thoughts!

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.

Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing You among the peoples.

For great is Your love, higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory be over all the earth.

HYMN:       233       “I Will Sing the Wondrous Story

God, source of all light, by Your Word You give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding that, being taught by You in Holy Scripture, our hearts and minds may be opened to know the things that pertain to life and holiness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE INVITATION

Dear friends, the Lord has prepared His table for all who love Him and trust Him alone for their salvation. All who are truly sorry for their sins, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, and who desire to live in obedience to Him, are now invited to take with gladness from the table of the Lord.

MEMORIAL PRAYER

Holy God, with this bread and with this cup, we do as our Saviour has commanded; we celebrate the redemption He has won for us.

For as often as we eat this bread and drink from this cup we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

Receive our praise, God almighty, through Jesus Christ our Lord, with whom and in whom by the power of the Holy Spirit, we worship You in songs of never ending praise:

Blessing, honour, glory and power are Yours forever and ever. Amen.

LAMB OF GOD

Jesus, Lamb of God,   have mercy on us.

Jesus, bearer of our sins,   have mercy on us.

Jesus, redeemer of the world,   have mercy on us.

BREAKING THE BREAD & SERVING THE BREAD & THE CUP

We break this bread and take this cup so that we can share in the life of Christ. God’s gifts for God’s people. Take in faith this Holy Sacrament of the body and the blood of Christ in remembrance that He died for you, and feed on Him in your hearts with thanksgiving.

THE COMMUNION

Pour out Your Holy Spirit on us, that we who taste Your gifts may receive what we are and become what we receive: The body of Christ.

O God of unchangeable power and eternal light, look favourably on Your whole church, that wonderful and sacred mystery; and the peaceful operation of Your providence, carry out the work of our salvation.

And let the whole world feel and see that things which were cast down are being raised up, and all things which had grown old are being made new, and all things are returning to perfection through Him from whom they took their origin;

Even through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

You have opened to us the Scriptures, O Christ, and You have made Yourself known in the breaking of the bread. Abide with us, we pray, that, blessed by Your royal presence, we may walk with You all the days of our life, and at its end behold You in glory of the eternal Trinity, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

HYMN:       520       “Lord, Enthroned in Heavenly Splendour”

BLESSING

To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore. Amen.              (Jude. 24-25)
