CALL TO WORSHIP
Let us worship God.
The world belongs to God, the earth and all its people.
Love and peace come together, justice and peace join hands.
How good and how lovely it is to live together in unity.
If the Lord’s disciples keep silent these stones would shout aloud.
Lord, open our lips and our mouths shall proclaim your praise.
HYMN: 147 “To God Be the Glory”
PRAYER OF ADORATION
Ever-living God, You are infinite, yet compassionate; in You we live, and move, and have our being. One with us in Jesus Christ, You share our life and our death; flowing through us as living water, You quench our thirst. Holy One, we adore You; Holy Wisdom, we adore You; Holy Spirit, we adore You; accept the praise we bring today and for ever. Amen!
INVOCATION
Come to us, O God of surprising grace. Break into the places in our lives which we think are not worthy of Your entry and show us the measure of Your love for us. Break through into newness in all our life together, O God, in the wonder of Your transforming presence. Amen!
HYMN: 590 “What a Friend We Have In Jesus”
CONFESSION
We come to God, knowing that we have failed to obey the call of Jesus to love God and one another with our whole being; but we come also to a God who reaches out to us with healing and reconciliation.
Let us pray: God of all mercy, give us grace today to make a fresh start.
We know we have not loved You with our whole heart, nor have we loved our neighbour as ourselves.
As we hope to be forgiven, teach us how to forgive; and lead us forward in a new life where neither grudges nor resentment have a part; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
Let us pray:
For our misuse of Your creation, Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
For our failure to love as You have loved us, Christ, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
For our lack of faith in Your gift of life, Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
DECLARATION OF FORGIVENESS
In the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom; for God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.
Hear then Christ’s word of grace to us: ‘Your sins are forgiven’.
Thanks be to God.
DOXOLOGY (to be sung with the tune of 768i)
Praise God, the Source of life and birth;
praise God, the Word, who came to earth;
praise God, the Spirit, holy flame;
all glory, honour, to God’s name.
SONG : “Jesus Name Above All Names”
PRAYER BEFORE READING THE SCRIPTURES
Holy One, open our hearts and minds by the power of Your Holy Spirit, that, as the Scriptures are read and proclaimed, we may hear Your word with joy. Amen!

THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
The peace of the Lord be with you. And also with you.
INVITATION
Christ our Lord invites to His table all who love Him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another.
PRAYER
Be present, risen Lord Jesus, as you were with Your disciples, and make Yourself known to us in the breaking of the bread; for You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen!
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Pour out the Holy Spirit on us and on these gifts of bread and wine, that they may be for us the body and blood of Christ.
Make us one with Him, one with each other, and one in ministry in the world, until at last we feast with Him in the kingdom. Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, in Your holy Church, all honour and glory are Yours, Father almighty, now and for ever. Amen!
THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD
The bread we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
The cup we take is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
The gifts of God for the people of God.
Receive this holy sacrament of the body and blood of Christ, and feed on Him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
HYMN: 155 “O Lord My God, When I in Awesome Wonder”
BENEDICTION
Go now in peace and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
