CALL TO WORSHIP
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word.
Praise the Lord, all His heavenly host, you His servants who do His will.
Praise the Lord, all His works everywhere in His dominion.
Praise the Lord, O my soul.
HYMN: 454 “Worship the Lord, in the Beauty of Holiness”
WE PRAISE YOU, O GOD
We praise You, O God, we acclaim You as Lord;
all creation worships You, the Father everlasting.
To You all angels, all the powers of heaven,
the cherubim and seraphim, sing in endless praise:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of Your glory.
The glorious company of apostles praise You.
The noble fellowship of prophets praise You.
The white-robed army of martyrs praise You.
Throughout the world the holy Church acclaims You:
Father, of majesty unbounded,
Your true and only Son, worthy of all praise,
the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hidden:
cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love You, and worthily magnify Your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Saviour of the World, who by thy cross and precious blood hast redeemed us; save us and help us, we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord.
Amen.
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
Father, we thank You for being ready to forgive us whenever we turn to You and honestly acknowledge Your power and our own need. We praise You for the joy of knowing that no matter who we are or what we have done, we can experience the joy of forgiveness and beginning again.
HYMN: 675 “Lord, The Light Of Your Love Is Shining”
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Father, we pray for the holy catholic Church;
that we all may be one.
Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve You;
that Your name may be glorified by all people.
We pray for all ministers of the gospel;
that they may faithfully proclaim Your Word and administer Your
holy sacraments.
We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
that there may be justice and peace on the earth.
Give us grace to do Your will in all that we undertake;
that our works may find favour in Your sight.
Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
that they may be delivered from their distress.
We praise You for Your saints who have entered into joy;
may we also come to share in Your heavenly kingdom.
Let us pray for our community and friends, for the life and worship of this congregation, and for those whose needs are known to us.
Offer your own petitions in silence or out loud.
Almighty God, You have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplications to You; and You have promised, through Your well-beloved Son, that when two or three are gathered together in His name You will be in the midst of them:
Fulfil now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of Your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting. Amen.
A PRAYER BEFORE READING THE SCRIPTURES
Blessed Lord, who hast caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: grant that we may in such wise hear them, read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them, that by practice, and comfort of thy holy Word, we may embrace, and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which Thou hast given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
