CALL TO WORSHIP

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.

May the peoples praise You, O God; may all the peoples praise You.

May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth.

May the peoples praise You, O God; may all the peoples praise You.

Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us.

God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.          Psalm 67

Shout with joy to God, all the earth!

Sing the glory of His name; make His name glorious!

Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! All the earth bows down to You; they sing praise to You, they sing praise to Your name”.                                                          Psalm 66:1-4

A PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Lord, we thank You for the splendour with which You have filled all creation; for the extent of the universe, which defies our understanding; and for the beauty of our world, which is greater than our words to describe it. We praise You for the place You’ve given us in Your creation.

A SONG OF CREATION

          Glorify the Lord, all you works of the Lord,

          sing praise and highly exalt God for ever.

          In the firmament of God’s power, glorify the Lord,

                   Glorify the Lord, you angels and all powers of the Lord,

A PRAYER OF PRAISE

Almighty God, who deserves to be praised by all life that You have created, we bow in humility before You, realizing the greatness of Your power in the vast universe, and knowing of Your concern for each one of us. Grant that we may praise Your name, not in words alone, but also in our deeds of love and mercy, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER

Almighty God, You have promised to hear the petitions of those who ask in Your Son’s name; mercifully accept us all who have now made our prayers to You; and grant us those things which we have asked in faith according to Your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A PRAYER BEFORE READING THE SCRIPTURES

An open book and stories spill their woven treasure out toward us. Might we find in the texture of the lives they share, common threads that link us to the gentle truths within and by those truths, may we see our own lives more clearly. OFFERING  – Help us who have received so freely from You to give as

Everything in heaven and earth comes from You, Lord. We give You only what is Yours. Accept our offering, bless and use them for the spread of Your Kingdom. May you be praised forever and ever. Amen.

BENEDICTION

The Peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen.
