CALL TO WORSHIP
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing. God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before Him in love. Let us worship God.
INVOCATION
Our heavenly Father, as we enter this worship service, we ask for Your divine guidance and presence to fall upon us. We need You every hour, and never more than now. Grant our request we pray. Amen.
HYMN: 156 “Morning Has Broken”
RESPONSIVE READING
To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. In You I trust, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one whose hope is in You will ever be put to shame, but you will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.
Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Saviour, and my hope is in You all day long.
Remember me, O Lord I pray, with Your great mercy and love.
Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to Your love remember me, for You are good, O Lord.
O God, we trust totally in You as we trust in no other. You are the creator of all things, and our life depends on You moment by moment. You give us breath and we respond with songs of praise and hymns of adoration. You give us truth, and we teach others Your word and try to model Your ways. You give us eternal life, and we share the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, with all who will listen. You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, and we love others as You have loved us. You call us Your friends, and we seek to be friends with the friendless. In all things we completely depend upon You and do not rest secure in our own strength or wisdom. Draw us closer to You and enable us to live more faithfully as followers of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray:
Our Father who art in heaven ……..
HYMN: 149 “This is My Father’s World”
PRAYER OF PRAISE AND CONFESSION
We praise You, God the Creator, for all that has come to be through Your love and grace.
We praise You, Jesus Christ, for calling us to be Your body, for teaching us to live Your word of hope.
We praise You, Spirit of Love, for breathing the life of God into our life together; we open ourselves to becoming more whole; to living more fully; to understanding more completely the meaning of our lives here on earth.
Silence.
When we have not loved You with all our heart, or served You with all our strength; Christ, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
When we have been thoughtless and have not cared for Your creation or seen the vision of a renewed creation; misused power and denied space to those who are left outside; Christ have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
When we have preferred the safety of our church walls to sharing Your story in the world; Christ, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
In Your mercy, God of Grace, forgive us and restore us, renew us so we might join in joy together in offering the ministry of Christ and sharing the story of God’s love. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our trespasses against us, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.
Hear then Christ’s word of grace: Your sins are forgiven.
Thanks be to God!

WORDS OF CONSECRATION AND PRAYER
On the night of His betrayal, Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to His disciples, saying, “Take, eat, this is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me”.
In like manner, after supper He took the cup. And when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of this, for this is My blood of the New Covenant which is shed for you and for many, for remission of sins; do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me”.
Father, we thank You that You feed us in these holy mysteries with the spiritual food of the body and blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
We thank You for the assurance of Your goodness and love, and that we are living members of His body and heirs of His eternal kingdom.
May the Holy Spirit be upon us now, that as we receive this bread and wine, we may know the presence and power of Christ our Lord. Amen.
BREAKING THE BREAD
We break this bread and take this cup so that we can share in the life of Christ. God’s gifts for God’s people.
COMMUNION
We take, eat, remembering and believing that the body of our Lord Jesus Christ was given for a complete remission of all our sins.
We take, drink, remembering and believing that the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ was shed for a complete remission of all sins.

BLESSING
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. (1 Cor. 12:27)
