CALL TO WORSHIP
I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart;
before the “gods” I will sing Your praise.
I will bow down toward Your holy temple and will praise Your name for Your unfailing love and Your faithfulness, for You have exalted above all things Your name and Your word.
When I called, You answered me; You made me bold and stout-hearted.
May all the kings of the earth praise You, O Lord,
when they hear the words of Your mouth.
May they sing of the ways of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord is great. (Psalm 138:1-5)
HYMN: 134 “Praise My Soul, the King of Heaven”
SEEKING THE LORD
O gracious holy God, give us diligence to seek You,
wisdom to perceive You and patience to wait for You.
Grant us, O God, a mind to meditate on You; eyes to behold You;
ears to listen for Your word; a heart to love You; and a life to proclaim You; through the power of the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
St. Benedict (480-543)
HYMN: 745 “Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God”
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
In peace, we pray to You, Lord God.
For all people in their daily life and work;
for our families, friends, and neighbours, and for those who are alone.
For this community, our country, and the world;
for all who work for justice, freedom, and peace.
For the just and the proper use of Your creation;
for the victims of hunger, fear, injustice and oppression.
For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
for those who minister to the sick, the friendless and the needy.
For the peace and unity of the Church of God;
for all who proclaim the gospel, and for all who seek the truth.
For the Uniting Church in Australia; the president, the moderators and the chairpersons of the Presbyteries, all the Ministers of the Word, our elders and church council, and for all who hold office in this congregation;
for all who serve God in the church.
We pray for our own needs, and for the needs of others for whom you have called us to pray. Silence.
Hear us Lord;
for Your mercy is great.
We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of life. Silence.
We will exalt You, O God our king;
and praise Your name for ever and ever.
We give You thanks for all those who have died in the peace of Christ,
and for the promise of Your eternal kingdom. Silence.
In Christ You have called us to eternal glory;
to You be praise for ever and ever.
Glorious God, You have heard the prayers of Your faithful people;
You know our needs before we ask, and our ignorance in asking.
Grant our requests as may be best for us.
This we ask in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

HYMN: 429 “Break Now the Bread of Life”
PRAYER
Holy God, we offer our thanks and praise.
And so, in remembrance of all You have done for us, we take this bread and this cup, and offer ourselves as a holy and living sacrifice, made worthy by the perfect offering of Christ our great high priest.
By Your Word and Holy Spirit, bless these gifts that we may truly share Christ’s body and blood, and become, by grace, His body given for the sake of the world.
BREAKING THE BREAD
We break this bread and take this cup so that we can share in the life of Christ. God’s gifts for God’s people.
THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD
Christ is the bread of joy, who shares food with sinners.
Christ is the cup of life, who revives the faint-hearted.
Let us receive what we are; let us become what we receive.
The body of Christ.
THE COMMUNION
Receive this holy sacrament of the body and blood of Christ, and feed on Him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.
The body of Christ keep you in eternal life. Amen.
The blood of Christ keep you in eternal life. Amen.
HYMN: 217 “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling”
THE LORD’S PRAYER
DISMISSAL
We thank You God that You have fed us with this sacrament, united us with Christ, and given us a foretaste of the heavenly banquet prepared for all humanity. We offer ourselves to You as a living sacrifice. Amen.
