Pastoral Letter 180

Dear Members of St. Andrew’s Uniting Church, Friends and Adherents,

Grace and Peace to you all.

I write this Pastoral Letter, the third, miles away from Egypt, as I am in the last week of my leave. It has been two great weeks of touring around, relaxing and enjoying quality time with my daughter Lori. I am looking forward to joining you all next Sunday as we will celebrate Father’s Day during Morning Tea and appreciate our fathers. Tomorrow we will be joining Crows Nest Uniting Church for Sunday Worship. My thanks to James and Liam for preaching the last two Sundays and thanks for Crows Nest Uniting for having us as guests. I hope you are enjoying the new faces and their preaching.

Please save the date Sunday 10 September 2023, which marks the 100th anniversary of the laying of the Foundation Stone of our beautiful Sanctuary as well as the 121st Anniversary of the start of the Services. We will have a special service at 2:00 pm with many guests, church leaders, families, friends and dignitaries. We have almost finalised the details. Please make an effort to come and celebrate with us.

Be safe and well, continue to pray, remembering those who need care, support and love. Please let me know if you or anyone else has prayer points.

Here are some prayer points for this week:

  1. Pray for Artsakh as they go through the toughest time with the dire situation resulting in hunger, starvation, and death. Clearly the people are in a humanitarian crisis as they are under complete siege and even, they can’t find bread to eat. The number of deaths from starvation and malnutrition is climbing quickly.
  2. Pray for Adrienne and Ned as they are caught with Covid.
  3. Continue to pray for Soo-Tee.
  4. Pray for world peace in the world.
  5. Pray for those who suffer, who are persecuted and abused.
  6. Pray for the poor, the sick, the struggling and the stressed.
  7. Pray for those who are facing natural disasters and the global warming.
  8. Pray for our Worship and Praise Service planned for Sunday 10 September 2023.
  9. Pray for my safe return.

Best Regards

Krikor
